The owner is really welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was a problem if you had questions or needed anything and she was helpful in pointing out useful places of interest. The room was very clean, well maintained and light. We had a couple of very nice nights there. Very convenient location right next to lake and close to walks around lake.

Stayed 2 nights with the in-laws in one room and myself and hubby in another, both rooms were spotless & well equipped, we appreciated the heat pumps which kept the rooms cosy. Very quiet so would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Taupo.

Arrived 23rd January 2020. Well what a lovely experience. Excellently situated close to town. Cute cottages, spotless presentation and fabulous views! The new owners were so lovely, helpful and friendly. Nothing was to much to ask. We went for a kayak (available for rent) in the lake, just a 1 min walk down through the lake access this morning and we are off out for a bike (available for rent) ride shortly. Couldn’t recommend more!

Lovely warm welcome. Great location, there is a path directly onto Lake. The room had everything we wanted, including a spa bath, tea, coffee, biscuits, milk etc. Very nice sunny and private place to sit outside with table, chairs and pretty garden. Oh, there was free use of washing machine and small charge for dryer-fab for us on a month trip to NZ. We would recommend this motel to all.

We stayed one night in The Nook which was well appointed, cosy yet comfortable for two. We did not have time to experience all that Taupo and Cottage Mews had to offer and would stay again when in the area. Very friendly staff. The little extra touches e.g laundry,newspapers added a personal touch to the stay. Thank you!
